No more Interpol Red Corner Notices in 498A

April 21: Interpol, which issues Red Corner notices to arrest criminals all over the world, has stopped issuing notices pertaining to Section 498(A) (dowry harassment) cases registered in India. There are about 3,000 requests for red corner notices from Indian government pending with Interpol.
The inspector-general of CID, Mr S. Umapathi, said there are as many as 120 cases from Andhra Pradesh pending with Interpol for the past eight months.
Sources in the CBI said Punjab tops the list with nearly 300 cases.
According to sources, there is no law pertaining to dowry harassment in US and other developed countries and hence the Interpol is in dilemma whether they can issue Red Corner notice based on the Indian law.
“The mater has been discussed with US embassy officials recently. However, there was no improvement in the status,” Mr Umapathi said. “There was no delay in other criminal cases,” he added.
The external affairs ministry had sent several representations to Interpol explaining the seriousness of the cases booked under Section 498 (A). However it failed to get any positive response from them.

I am also one of the victim husband, aged 34 of false 498A case filed by my wife in the police station of Vanasthalipuram at Hyderabad,India, including all of our family members, namely, my mother, my father, my sister and her husband, in addition to me. The police had registered FIR without any sort of counselling and subsequently arrested my mother and father,retired pensioners from Bapatla, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, India, without intimation. Even after their release on bail, their woes did not end and they were threatened with dire consequences in the absence of my immediate return from Malaysia. My sister and my brother-in-law were also threatened with arrest and loss of their jobs, even after their obtaining of anticipatory bail in the case. Even now my entire family is regularly being subjected to constant humiliation and threatenings on phone. The police on the other hand have turned a deaf ear to their pleas of innocence and have filed the chargesheet without proper enquiries. I have also been threatened with dire consequences of arrest by interpol, loss of job, seizure of passport and zero future in addition to jail, if I don't bow to the dikkat of wife.
I require advice in this regard.
Kindly suggest suitable course of action.
mr yadla i believe when your wife has filed a case 498a you should have taken help of naxalites rather than going to police the peoples court generaly announces severe punishments to people who miuse dowry laws for their benefits.
otherwise your entire family will have to do suicide as government has secret agenda to eliminate males from country and india will be womens oriented country.if you go to court it will take 35 years to get ur dispute resolve.
Mr. yadla in these days this quiet a bit common in Andhra. Reason is the Corrupted Police bastards. They are taking the money or with the higher official's recommendations they are harassing the people with out any enquiries. These women bitches as they are saying them selves as Mahila Samaja Seva encouraging these type of cases in reality they don’t care about the grooms

(498A) is common in our country. Be strong and never make compromise with your wife and your in-laws. Now our law makers have became deaf and dump. We all know that 498A has become a sharp weapon for today’s woman. I suggest you to consult with an intelligent layer and take his help to frame a false allegation against your wife's parents. When her parents will suffer your wife will understand your pain. Then she will get agree to withdraw the 498A or she will cooperate you to get divorce.

Though the matrimonial law is tough for the men specially when false allegations are made against him and his family and he has to face trial but it is not the end and one can not get rid off if he tries with God and his acumen.
